Recibo – Your Digital Receipt Solution

DIGITAL ARTEFACT: Recibo Advertisement

CONTEXTUAL REPORT

Recibo is a digital receipt database that was developed with a vision to streamline and revolutionise the current process of receipt management.

My Digital Artefact (DA), a video advertisement, focuses on promoting Recibo by highlighting problems with the current process, providing an overview on how it works, and its benefits for individuals, businesses and the environment.

I chose this particular technical approach for my DA as it allowed me to effectively summarise Recibo’s operations, capabilities and benefits, whilst also offering an insight into the research and motivations behind the innovation.

Research and Development

The development of Recibo was driven by personal experience, observations and research aimed at understanding the challenges and opportunities in receipt management. As a group, our research involved identifying the environmental impact of paper receipts and the growing demand for a convenient and eco-friendly alternative.

This research was critical in shaping my DA as a way of presenting a vision to streamline and revolutionise the process of receipt management while addressing the need for sustainability.

Referencing existing technologies that viewers would be familiar with (Apple/Android Wallet) within my advertisement helped position the growing need for a convenient, cost effective and eco-friendly alternative to paper receipts. It helps viewers understand the concept of Recibo as a digital alternative to the existing system, and how it can benefit them in their everyday lives.

By leveraging the power of digital innovation, Recibo aims to simplify receipt handling, remove the hassle of lost or damaged receipts, and empower individuals and businesses by digitising the process and providing a centralised digital database.

My Digital Artefact primarily focused on illustrating the benefits of Recibo for individual users, emphasising how a centralised digital database can alleviate the challenges of receipt handling and minimise the risks of losing or damaging important receipts.

Furthermore, my Digital Artefact briefly explored the broader market applications of Recibo, highlighting how it can empower businesses by offering valuable insights and data. It frames Recibo as a tool to analyse transaction patterns and spending habits, and ultimately enable businesses to make smarter financial decisions and effectively manage budgets.

Aspirational Achievements and Accomplishments

In Recibo’s video advertisement, the innovation holds the promise of addressing challenges in current receipt management processes by presenting a future-oriented, user-friendly, secure, and efficient solution.

The envisioned technological advancements include the use of existing technologies (using Apple/Android Wallet) and the development of an efficient and secure database with innovative features, which are expected to revolutionise the user experience and maximise efficiency.

In addition to its technological innovations, Recibo aspires to make a profound impact on sustainability efforts. By imagining a world with reduced dependence on paper receipts, Recibo aims to contribute significantly to minimising the environmental impact caused by the current process.

My DA depicts a future that holds great promise for Recibo as a digital innovation expected to reshape the landscape of receipt management and empower individuals and businesses with convenience, security, sustainability and business growth.
