Welcome to my first blog post for BCM114, and to my Project Pitch for my Digital Artefact ‘The Daily Allie’.
BACKGROUND
Prior to moving away from home for university, I led a healthy, productive and balanced lifestyle.
Since moving from Griffith to Wollongong earlier this year, I have noticed this passion dwindle as a result of being preoccupied with studying, having fun, and learning to live independently for the first time.
My first Semester as a self-catered resident of Campus East offered a great learning experience which allowed me to adapt to a whole new life and develop good habits, new skills and regain my passion for leading a healthy, productive lifestyle.
Online, I mostly consume lifestyle content, however, I have discovered that oftentimes this media is incredibly unrealistic and irrelevant to my life as a Uni student restricted by time, money and resources.
CONCEPT
I plan to fill the gap that exists within the internet’s ‘lifestyle’ genre by creating realistic and helpful content targeted to this niche group through my project ‘The Daily Allie’.
UTILITY
AUDIENCE PERSONA & MOOD BOARD
The audience I have in mind for my project are young Uni students who are living away from home, like myself.
My niche audience are people who enjoy having fun and experiencing Uni life, but are also looking to make improvements to their lifestyle to better their health and be more productive.
The starter pack I have created depicts an example of an individual I think would benefit from my content.
